Thomas Elliott is a shy, mild mannered man of the Midlands. He trained at Leeds and Birmingham Schools of Art, then spent years un-training. His drawings were much admired by the late Mike Stevini, Head of Painting at Birmingham. Ironically, Stevini encouraged Thomas to draw rather than paint.
Thomas likes not owning a television, solitude, architecture, football, cricket, The New York School, Ben Nicholson, Steve Winwood, Wilfred Owen, Ivor Gurney, the radio, apple crumble, fairgrounds and fireworks.
